Irish Lotto player becomes latest millionaire after bagging life-changing prize

AN IRISH Lotto player has become Ireland’s latest millionaire after bagging a life-changing €1 million prize in tonight’s Lotto Plus 1 draw. 

The Lotto jackpot prize of €6,887,595 and the Lotto Match 5 + bonus worth a whopping €482,659 went unwon.

Tonight’s winning Lotto numbers were: 20, 34, 35, 36, 42, 44 and the bonus number 13.

But celebrations will be underway in one lucky household after the Lotto Plus 1 top prize was scooped. 

Irish Lotto players have been urged to check their tickets carefully as they may be the fortunate punter. 

A successful player also won the Match 5 + Bonus prize worth €5,000.

Tonight’s lucky Lotto Plus 1 winning numbers worth €1 million were: 20, 25, 33, 38, 43, 45 and the bonus number 26.

Meanwhile, the Lotto Plus 2 draw saw no big winners, with the top prize of €250,000 going unclaimed. 

The Match 5 + Bonus prize of €2,500 was also not won. 

Tonight’s winning Lotto Plus 2 numbers were: 07, 08, 10, 26, 31, 45 and the bonus number 20.

If you hold a winning ticket that you bought in a shop, you must claim your prize within 90 days of the applicable draw date.

Your ticket is a bearer instrument, so treat it as if it were cash. It is the only valid proof of a game played and must be presented to claim a prize.

You should sign the back of all winning tickets before presenting them for payment.

Meanwhile, Irish EuroMillions players are being urged to carefully check their tickets from Tuesday night’s Plus draw after one player scooped €500,000.  

The winning QuickPick ticket was purchased at Dunnes Stores in the Northside Shopping Centre on the Oscar Traynor Road in Dublin 17 on Monday, September 25.

The winning numbers in last night’s draw were: 01, 13, 18, 23, 33.

‘TOP PRIZE’

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “A EuroMillions Plus player in the Dublin 17 area had a Tuesday to remember after scooping the top prize of €500,000 in last night’s Plus draw.

“We are encouraging all of our players who may have purchased their tickets at Dunnes Stores in the Northside Shopping Centre on Monday to carefully check their tickets today as one player now has a ticket worth a staggering €500,000.

“The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe.

“They should make contact with our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize.”

While over 41,000 players in Ireland won prizes across the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws in last night’s draw, there was no outright winner of the €40,110,282 jackpot on offer.  

And Friday night is set to be a big night for EuroMillions players all over the country with the jackpot guaranteed at €130million.

As the draw gets closer, excitement is certain to build with the National Lottery encouraging players to purchase their tickets early either in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the cut-off time for sales at 7.30pm on Friday evening.
