Dublin Lotto player ‘still in complete shock’ picking up life-changing €1m prize

A DUBLIN Lotto player told how they were “still in complete shock” as they picked up a life-changing €1million prize.

The capital punter, who wishes to remain anonymous, was stunned to find out that they had become the 29th National Lottery millionaire this year.

The winner said: “We’re absolutely overjoyed and still in complete shock!”

The winner said they hope to get on the property ladder with their other half with their winnings, adding: “We’re a young couple and it would be a dream come true to be able to buy our own house.

“We’ve always wanted to travel the world too, so hopefully we can tick a few countries off our list.”

The lucky winner purchased the winning ticket on the day of the draw on September 22 in Fresh, The Good Food Market in Northern Cross, Dublin 17.

The winner added: “We’re beyond excited for this next chapter and all the new adventures it will bring.”

Another winner claiming their prize at the National Lottery HQ today was a player from Dublin who scooped an amazing €177,594.

The player matched five numbers and the bonus in the Lotto draw on Saturday August 20.

The player, who also wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the ticket on the day of the draw, August 20, in Circle K, Belgard Road in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Meanwhile, a Louth Lotto player scooped a massive €250,000 in the Lotto Plus 2 draw on September 21.

On the same night, another player took home a prize of €98,000 by matching five digits and the bonus ball in the main draw.

In total, over 69,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including one winner of the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €98,444.

There was no winner of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize, worth €1million.

As per usual National Lottery instructions, players are urged to check their tickets carefully and if they have the winning ticket, they should sign the back of it and keep it safe.
