A MAN discovered he had won a £600,000 lottery prize after a dodgy carbonara kept him awake all night.
The lucky winner from Nieuw Zuid Wales in Australia “immediately felt better” after checking his numbers.

The man lay awake in his home at night after eating a ‘dodgy’ pasta and becoming ill.
He soon gave up sleep and decided to use the time to check his entry for Saturday’s Lotto draw.
His illness magically disappeared when he realized he had a winning entry in Division 1.
He said: “Saturday night wasn’t fun for anyone in my house.
“A dodgy carbonara left me feeling very unwell and unable to sleep all night, so just after midnight I gave up on sleep and decided to check my records.
“Well, I felt better right away.”
To the man’s surprise, he had collected a whopping £600,000 from his winning ticket.
“The adrenaline started flowing and then sleep was forgotten. I woke up my partner and we both sat there in shock for a while,” said the winner.
The lottery winner couldn’t believe his luck and was already making plans for how he would spend his fortune.
“I’ve never bought a house before, so that’s my first priority,” he said.
‘After that I will prepare us for the future and enjoy this moment.
“It’s surreal.”
The man was one of four winners last week, three of which were in Nieuw Zuid Wales.
Another New South Wales man didn’t realize he had won the jackpot until a story about the unclaimed prize was broadcast on TV four years later.
The pensioner then spent 25 agonizing years trying to prove he once won a £2million lottery prize after losing the golden ticket.
One lottery winner almost missed the fact that he was £17 million richer when he won Boxing Goodbye jackpot.
