Although it is somewhat hard to believe given its overall beauty, Rob Lowe turned 60 on Sunday and the star felt the love from his friends and family.
However, his son John Lowe made some jokes joined his father on the occasion, sharing a family photo showing himself, his brother Matthew, their mother Sheryl and their father. However, Rob's face was crudely photoshopped and replaced with Johannes Stamos' head.
“If y'all could be so kind, please send some birthday love to my dad,” John captioned the edited snapshot. “HE'S SIXTY TODAY!!!! I love you forever daddy.”
The joke post is probably referring to the frequency with which Rob and John are often mistaken for each other by excited fans – or comments John made last year in which he was joking called himself a prettier version of Rob.
Meanwhile, the birthday boy also took to Instagram to commemorate the milestone, posting a snapshot of himself wearing a T-shirt with a throwback photo of himself from his teenage years, as well as his birthday.
“Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Here's to another 60 years,” the handsome star captioned the photo.
The post was met with an outpouring of love and support from his famous friends, including Stamos himself – who turned 60 in August – who joked: 'When people ask me why I look so young, I tell him I drink the blood of Rob Lowe. Welcome to the 60s buddy.”
Meanwhile at Rob's 9-1-1: Lone star co-star Gina Torres, who wrote, “Congratulations on the tiniest captain there ever was!!”
Actress Melissa Gilbert commented: “1964. THAT was a good year. Happy 60th old friend! Save a seat for me. I'll be there in May.”
“Congratulations man!” Lowe's Parks and recreation co-star Adam Scott wrote. “I wish I looked that young when I was 12. Well done! 👏👏👏”
