Following yesterday’s exciting announcement revealing the line-up for Radio 2 in the Park, music fans are likely to be eager to secure their tickets for the huge event this September. Radio 2 in the Park will take place at Victoria Park on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17.
The news was officially confirmed by the radio station on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on Monday, June 12. Then yesterday morning, the incredible line-up – including headliners Kylie Minogue and Tears For Fears – was revealed.
Now, tickets are about to go on sale. A total of 35,000 for each day will be available via the Radio 2 website from 8.15am today (Wednesday). With the exception of children aged two years and under, everyone attending the event will need a valid ticket. Children under 18 are not permitted unless accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

A maximum purchase of six tickets per person can be purchased for each day of the event. General admission tickets will cost £54 per person (plus £4.50 booking fee). The good news for local people is that 30 per cent of general admission tickets will be reserved for purchase for residents within the Leicestershire area.
To secure tickets, you will need to enter the postcode of your home address at the time of purchase. Any tickets from this allocation which remain available by 8.15am on Wednesday, June 21, will then be made available to all UK postcodes. To help limit the amount of tickets purchased by ticket touts or bots, the BBC is using Ticketmaster’s Smart Queue for this event. You can register for a Ticketmaster account now.
If you really want to enjoy the event in style, you can purchase enhanced area tickets. They will cost £140 per person (plus £5.60 booking fee). These tickets include allocated grandstand seating, a dedicated entrance into the event and access to The Sounds Garden. The Sounds Garden will have an exclusive bar, artisan catering units selling premium food options and private restroom facilities.
Customers requiring accessible facilities at the event are advised to purchase tickets via the website when it goes live. You’ll then need to complete and submit an Access Requirements form to make sure that your needs are met.
If you are unable attend the event without the support from a companion, you can apply for a complimentary companion ticket. You need to visit the accessibility page on the website to do this. All tickets for this event will be digital tickets. You will be able to access your digital tickets by logging into your Ticketmaster app within two weeks of the event and you’ll then need to show them on your phone when you get there.
