Gene Simmons claims ‘dangerous selections’ triggered the dying of KISS bandmate Ace Frehley

Gene Simmons has claimed that Ace Frehley’s dying was brought on by ‘dangerous selections’ as he opened up about his bandmate’s dying.

Ace Frehley, legendary KISS guitarist and co-founder, died in October on the age of 74.

The musician collapsed in his house in Morristown, New Jersey, fell down the steps and hit his head, inflicting a mind hemorrhage.

The official report in November categorised his dying as an accident, explaining that Frehley suffered a cranium fracture in the back of his head, together with a subdural hematoma – a pool of blood between the mind and its outer protecting layer – and a stroke.

He died just some days after his fall on October 16.

In a brand new interview with the New York Put up, his bandmate Gene, 76, claimed his buddy’s dying could have been associated to “different points.”

‘He refused [advice] of people that cared about him – together with yours actually – to attempt to change his life-style. Out and in of dangerous selections,” the ageing rocker mentioned.

‘For those who fall down the steps – I am not a health care provider – you will not die. There could have been different points, and it breaks my coronary heart.

“The saddest factor is that sadly you reap what you sow,” he added.

The star then mirrored on Frehley’s funeral, saying the open casket was “heartbreaking.”

‘It breaks my coronary heart. Peter Criss, our founding drummer, Paul [Stanley] and I went to the funeral, open casket.

‘It was simply heartbreaking. Maybe the saddest a part of all is that Ace simply could not keep alive lengthy sufficient to sit down there proudly within the Kennedy Middle and hearken to – I can not even let you know who’s going to come back out… actually spectacular folks, simply to say how a lot KISS meant to them.

In saying his passing, Frehley’s household mentioned, “In his ultimate moments, we have been lucky to encompass him with loving, caring, peaceable phrases, ideas, prayers and intentions as he left this earth.”

“We cherish all his fondest reminiscences, his smile, and have a good time his strengths and the kindness he gave to others.”

The assertion to Selection continued: “The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions and past comprehension. As we mirror on all his unbelievable achievements in life, Ace’s reminiscence will dwell on perpetually!’

In a joint assertion, surviving Kiss singers Gene and Paul Stanley shared, “We’re devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was a vital and irreplaceable rock soldier throughout a number of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its historical past. He’s and all the time shall be a part of KISS’ legacy.”

In his personal social media publish, Simmons mentioned, “Nobody can contact Ace’s legacy.”
