Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle to hold Al at gunpoint as he discovers secret

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale is still reeling from Storm Week which took the lives of Harriet Finch and Liv Dingle, but the after-effects are ongoing.

The ITV soap has released a brand new trailer showing Cain Dingle finally discovering that his sister Chas is having an affair with Al Chapman.

The trailer shows Chas telling Cain: “If you’ve got something to say, just say it”, before it cuts to Cain answering her phone to hear Al on the other end and realising what has been going on.

Cain, who has just gone through watching his mum Faith’s final moments as she passed away from cancer, decides to take matters into his own hands as their feud comes to a head.

He corners Al in the barn and threatens him with a gun, where he tells Al: “You’re not going to be seeing her again.”

The pair then start to fight and Cain is seen reaching for the gun again, but does Al get there first?

It has been teased that Cain and Al have a huge storyline coming up, with bosses revealing that things are going to “step up a gear”.

Speaking about the anniversary, producer Laura Shaw commented: “There is going to be a lot of heartache involved in October and the rivalry between Cain and Al is really going to step up a gear.

“Al and Chas have grown a lot closer now, but will their affair finally be exposed? Viewers will have to wait and see!”

Earlier this month, Jeff Hordley and Natalie J Robb – who play Cain and his wife Moira – teased some big changes ahead for their characters.

Robb told TV Times: “After the sadness of Faith’s passing, it doesn’t end there for Moira. There is going to be a lot more drama.”

Hordley added: “This is our anniversary month and there is a big ending to it, with a massive impact on Cain and Moira’s lives…”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
