Drake's honor the mother and daughter who tragically died after a recent show in St. Louis … while also making a sweet gesture to someone battling cancer.
During his concert in Buffalo, NY Wednesday night at KeyBank Center, Drake took the time to share an emotional message with the audience, saying, “You never know what someone else's reality is going to be when he or she walks out of this building” ,
He also encouraged fans in the audience to show love to a complete stranger, which people did.
Drake's mind and heart were heavy, as he clearly intended Laticha Bracero and her daughter, 21 years old Alyssa Cordovaand added…”Rest in peace to that young mother and her child.”
The tragic moment was captured on video… the mother/daughter duo left Drake and J. Cole's concert in St. Louis in the early morning of February 14, when a car struck them at high speed.
Police said the man was driving the vehicle. Monte Hendersonran several red lights before the collision and charged the 22-year-old with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of armed criminal action.
Drake's first of his two Buffalo shows wasn't all somber, though… he snuck a peek at a fan in the crowd waving a sign that read “Defeat stage four cancer just in time for Drake #godsplan.”
The rapper made the concert trip worth it for the woman; he blessed her with $25,000, just like he did in the actual “God's Plan” video.
