Drake Bell Comes to Jos Peck's defense after fans criticized his former costar for staying mum amid his sexual abuse story … essentially telling everyone to resign.
The former Nick star jumped online Wednesday to clarify where he stands with Josh … and he confirmed that JP did indeed reach out to him after his appearance on 'Quiet on the Set' — even though it was just about everyone assumed this was not the case.

Drake — which opened about being molested as a teenager by former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck in the docuseries – says he's noticed the hate comments on Josh's social media accounts in recent days… which he believes are unfounded.

As Drake puts it…Josh supported me through the aftermath of the doctor. Josh's contact has not been made public until now due to the delicate nature of the situation. So clearly there are things happening behind the scenes that not everyone can see.
Drake says he's been going through an emotional time processing everything that's happened… and that's why some things have been kept out of the public eye.
His update comes amid allegations that JP deliberately ignored the damning document about their former network. In fact, the comments section of Josh's TikTok account featured numerous fans demand that he say something to support DB, instead of making stupid uploads.
Of course, Drake and Josh have had a rocky relationship lately. The two had a public falling out after Drake complained that they weren't invited to Josh's wedding.

The two actors finally hugged it out at the 2017 VMAs, but even after that… it didn't seem like they were particularly close.
Still, we're glad to hear that Josh has now sided with Drake… and we hope people will heed Drake's request to fire his old friend.
