Kristin Lowman, spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department, said The Dallas Morning News That initial investigation revealed that both a driver of a Chevrolet Corvette and a driver of a Lamborghini were speeding in the far left lane and subsequently lost control of their vehicles.

Two drivers were treated at the scene of the accident for minor injuries, while two others were taken to a hospital with similar minor injuries. Police efforts to identify the suspects are ongoing.

Eyewitnesses to the crash have reported the incident The Dallas Morning News. Kayla Quinn, who was driving with her son at the time, described her car being sideswiped and witnessing multiple vehicles spinning or flying through the air. She expressed her dismay at the perceived lack of concern shown by those involved in the accident, especially given the presence of children in some vehicles.

Video footage from witnesses shows the chaotic scene, with damaged vehicles scattered across the highway. Quinn also reported that items, including a pair of white cleats, were left in the Lamborghini, and there were allegations that weapons and bags were removed from the vehicles before the occupants left.

Marc Lenahan, an attorney representing one of the victims, expressed concern about the prevalence of joyriding in the area where the crash occurred. Lenahan indicated he was gathering information about the incident and seeking confirmation about the Lamborghini's rental status.
