Cameron Diaz And Benji Madden grow their family! On Friday, the married couple jointly took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their second child, a son named Cardinal.
To share the news, Diaz and Madden posted a photo of a piece of art with the caption: “A little bird whispered to me.”
In the caption, Madden revealed the news, which was as much of a surprise to fans as he and Diaz hadn't previously shared what they were expecting.
“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden,” Madden wrote. “He's amazing and we're all so happy he's here!”
“For the kids' safety and privacy we won't post any pictures, but he's really cute,” the caption continued. “We feel so blessed and grateful. Sending lots of love from our family to yours. Best wishes and good afternoon!!”
It's no surprise that the notoriously private couple, who tied the knot in 2015, remained mum about the toddler's arrival. When they announced the birth of their first childa daughter named Raddixin 2019 they did so with a similar Instagram post.
“We are so happy, blessed and grateful to start this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” Diaz wrote. “She immediately won our hearts and made our family complete.”
“While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one's privacy,” the caption continued. “So we won't post any pictures or share any more details other than the fact that she is really cute! Some would even say RAD :)”
