Mo’orea seems to be made for a highway journey. A single 60km (37.3-mile) coastal highway rings the mountainous French Polynesian island, slipping between reef-protected lagoons, coconut palms and jagged inexperienced peaks. There are not any excessive rises, no visitors lights and no important city, only a string of small villages, roadside snack bars, inexperienced areas and bays that may be explored in a day – or higher, stretched right into a slower weekend.
