Anthony Joshua has flown again to the UK after the automobile crash in Nigeria that killed two of his shut buddies and staff members.
Joshua sustained minor accidents within the deadly incident that took the lives of Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele, with the previous world heavyweight champion launched from hospital on New Yr’s Eve.
The funerals of Ghami and Ayodele will happen at a London mosque on Sunday.
The driving force of the automobile concerned within the crash, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has been charged by Nigerian police with inflicting loss of life by harmful driving and driving and not using a licence, Ogun State Police Command confirmed on Friday.
The case has been adjourned till January 20.
The defendant was granted bail within the sum of 5,000,000 Naira (£2,578) and was remanded pending his bail situations being met.
A spokesperson for Joshua had confirmed his buddies died within the accident, saying: “It’s with the deepest and most profound disappointment that we verify, following a highway site visitors accident in Lagos Nigeria, the loss of life of Sina Ghami and Kevin ‘Latif’ Ayodele.
“Each had been shut buddies and integral members of Anthony’s staff.”
Joshua, who has Nigerian heritage, was spending time within the nation following his latest knockout victory over Jake Paul in Miami, the Brit’s first battle since defeat to compatriot Daniel Dubois in September 2024.
