RHOC's Shannon Beador sued by ex over alleged $75,000 facelift loan

Shannon Beador may soon go to court her ex, John Janssenfiled a lawsuit against her in Orange County Superior Court last week.

Janssen is suing the case Real Housewives of Orange County star for breach of oral contracts and promissory note fraud, People reports only. Janssen is demanding $75,000, which he claims he loaned to Beador and never repaid.

According to the lawsuit obtained by the publication, Janssen claims he agreed to help Beador financially and wired her $40,000 in January 2022 to allegedly pay for a facelift procedure, before sending her another $35,000 in May.

Jannsen claims that in the case of both amounts, Beador agreed to repay the loans with interest and allegedly failed to do so despite being asked for the money in 2023 and earlier this year.

Beador and Janssen stopped at the end of 2022 after more than three years together.

Beador released a statement People claiming that she “agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew the attorneys' fees would exceed the amount requested, but more importantly to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit.”

“It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward,” Beador's statement continued. “John declined the offer because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement. I hoped that if I complied with his baseless demand, we could at least use this as an opportunity to fully close this chapter in my life.”

Beador and Jannsen's 2022 divorce came shortly after season 17 wrapped filming RHOC. The pair were initially amicable until they stopped talking shortly afterwards her DUI arrest in September 2023.

In November 2023, Beador was sentenced to 36 months probation40 hours of community service and a nine-month alcohol program.

Days after her sentencing, Beador spoke with ET on BravoCon 2023 and she opened up about her legal problems and her breakup.

“I've been focusing on myself this past month,” Beador said at the time. “I did a 28 day program and I have – I have started and I continue to eliminate toxic and unhealthy things in my life.”

“I haven't been drinking and there are certain relationships that I have ended as well,” she added. When asked about her friendship after her breakup with Jannsen, Beador said, “We haven't spoken in over a month and I don't plan on [to].”
